Providence Home Dormitory & Chapel

Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Scope:
New 5,375 square foot two-story dormitory with seven Jack-and-Jill suites, RA suite and common area General Contractor: Burriss Contracting

As the North Main Street widening project enhances the growing area, Providence Home, a recovery treatment home founded in 1963 by John Zenoni, a reformed alcoholic himself, also needed to update its Columbia property to replace an old dormitory building, one of four on the ministry’s headquarters property.

Providing a new, prominent face to Main Street, this new two-story dormitory building provides twelve new dual-occupant bedrooms with Jack-and-Jill style bathrooms as well as common living space and a residential assistant suite for overnight staff.
